Condolence: It is with sadness that I have just read of Allen's passing. My Dad forwarded his obituary to me. Immediately I am remembering Allen at TH&VS - a bright and humourous teen. At first he was Jean's brother to me. But later, he was a co-worker. I remember working with him at the conservation authority - again a bright and funny young man. I clearly remember his reactions when we took a day trip up to Moosonee while working for the conservation authority. Al seemed to really feel that he fit right in with those living there.
Interesting that much of his life was later spent there.
The last time I saw Allen was at the 2000 Timmins High reunion. Now a dentist. I still have the artifact from Moose Factory that he gave me. It will be that much more special now.
My warm regards and sympathies to all of his family.

Condolence: I am deeply saddened to hear of Allen's passing. I know he was ill for a long time but it is still so very hard to accept. Allen always amazed me with his bright quick-wit remarks and insightful opinions.At the same time, he was a very compassionate man with a giving heart. Martina & Mallory still remember his gifts of Dentyne gum (sugarless,of course)and toothbrushes. A memory that will always be with them. We will miss Allen but the happy memories will help us heal.Thinking of you and your family.

Condolence: To the Yee Family, I was so, so sorry to hear of Allen's passing. Even though I hadn't seen him in several years, I remember him as larger-than- life, with a no-nonsense sensibility. I remember going to your house when we were kids and just playing recklessly without a care in the world like kids do. My thoughts are with you all during this difficult period.
