Marcel  Chabot
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 15 2018 at the Timmins and District Hospital, at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of 64 years to Aliette (nee Claveau) - married April 24, 1954. Dear father of Roland Chabot (Dorianne) of Montreal, Francine Hone (Gary) of New Jersey, Daniel Chabot (Rolande) of Timmins, Nicole Foran (Kirk) of Timmins, Suzanne Saarela (Don Chartrand) of Timmins and Shawn Chabot (Myra) of Guelph; cherished grandfather of Chloé Briggs (Wayne), Julien Chabot, Paul and Marc Chabot, Stephanie Dunn (J.R.), Christian Bourgeois (Meghan), Ashley Gibbons (Adam), Allison Foran, Adam Foran), Vanessa and Kaija Saarela, Nolan and Evan Chabot. He also leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren. Survived by his nephew Roger Chabot (Donna). Predeceased by his 4 brothers, Raoul, Léo, Charles and Louis Chabot. Marcel had a joie de vivre. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him will miss him. He was a gentleman right until the end. Marcel was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 11383.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at
LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Remembrance donations made to St-Joseph Parish Renovation Fund will be greatly appreciated.
