The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Edith Ligocki can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Edith Ligocki

Edith Ligocki
The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Saturday , January 27, 2018, at the age of 89.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Roman (Dec. 5, 2015)
Loving mother of Ed from Timmins, Richard (Suzanne) of Sudbury, Christine Flondra (Michael) of Timmins and Sylvia Kwiatkowski (Paul) of St. Catharines.
Cherished grandmother of Kaitlyn, Eric and Christopher Flondra, David Ligocki (Matt), Rebecca, Zechariah and Karrington Kwiatkowski, and great-grandmother of Kaleb, Johanna and Levi.
Edith was predeceased by her parents and siblings.
She was a very selfless lady, she made thousands of meals for the homeless over the years. She also collected and donated clothing for the homeless.
She was the perfect example of the old country Oma; she took care of everybody and had a wonderful and special relationship with all of her grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her close friends Bob and Kirsten Mikelait, Rakhi Quinlan, Gertrude Dutkiewicz, Rita Garito, Mimi Kean and Elli Pigetti and her daughters Mary Scragg and Matti Potvin. Also a very special thank you to the Nurses in the Dialysis department and on the second floor medical department for the excellent care provided to Edith and to Dr. Parr and Dr. Woods.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday February 22, 2018 at 10 am at St-Anthony's Cathedral
The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 21 from 7-9 pm at Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home. Donations made to the Dialysis Dept. at Timmins and District Hospital or to the Timmins Humane Society will be greatly appreciated
