Obituary for Joseph Lajoie
The family announces with great sorrow his death on Thursday February 2, 2017 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 76. Survived by his wife Lily (nee Foisy), his son Richard Lajoie, his siblings Albert “Bert” (Paulette), Fred (Jeanine), Claude (Bernadette), Jean (Caroline) and Lucien (Gisèle), his sisters-in-law Jackie and Joyce, as well as his brother-in-law Gilbert. Predeceased by his parents Omer (Eusebe) Lajoie and Marie Rose Lavoie, his brothers René and Réjean, and his sister Annette. Joseph worked as a lumberjack for many years and enjoyed working with his portable sawmill at home. He was a very generous person helping many people in need. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation will follow. Remembrance donations to the charity of choice would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the
