Obituary for René Lavictoire
The family announces with sorrow his passing on Wednesday October 12, 2016 at the Timmins and District Hospital, at the age of 79. Loving husband of 58 years to Fleurette Lavictoire (née Laneville); beloved father of late Diane Béland (Aug. 11, 2016), Paulette Cashmore (Gary) and Daniel; dear father-in-law of Richard Béland.; cherished grandfather of Shawn Béland (Kim), Jason Cashmore (Selena) and Daryl Cashmore (Shelby) and proud great-grandfather of Kayley and Breann Béland. He is also survived by his 2 sisters Johann Laneville (Maurice) and Madeleine Brousseau, and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Hormidas and Cécilia Lavictoire, his siblings Thomas Lavictoire, Edouard Lavictoire, Irene Boutin, Doreen Prud’homme and Gabriel Leroux.
René was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2403. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday October 15, 2016 at Notre-dame de-la-paix Church. The family will receive friends on Friday October 14, 2016 from 7-9 pm at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Remembrance donations made to the Notre-dame de-la-paix Church Renovation Fund will be greatly appreciated.
