Obituary for Michael Baleck
It is with great sorrow, we announce the passing of Michael “Mike” Baleck at home on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Mike is predeceased by his parents Anastasia Baleck (nee Belska) and Murdock Baleck (deceased October 5, 1968), older brother William; sister-in-laws Katie (nee Strazisar) and Ethel (nee MacDonnell); brother-in-laws; Jack Grant, James MacDonnell, Tibor Schweng, and Robert Ursalak. He is survived by his wife Edith (nee MacDonnell), his daughters Cathy Baleck (Mike) and Karen Maxwell (Neil) and by his son John Baleck (Elizabeth). Also survived by his granddaughter Rebecca Maxwell his grandsons Jeffrey Maxwell and Brandon Doughty; his brother Paul Baleck; his two sister-in-laws Marjorie and Margaret (Peggy) and the support of his many nieces and nephews. Special thank you to his nurse Cheryl who provided incredible care over the past two years. The family will receive friends on Friday October 7th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at
LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 8th at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Psoriasis Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
