Dear grand-father of Melanie, Chad, Mark, David, Danielle, Michael, Isabelle, Jean-François, Marc- André, Dominic, Alessandro, Valérie, Myriam, Emmanuelle, and late Désiré Grisé, Philippe and Marie-Eve Faucher; Great grand-father of Emily, Eric, James, Rose, Béatrice and Ethan.
Dear brother of Rock (Lucia), Jean-Noël (late Marie-Jeanne) and Cécile (Claude Rondeau) of the province of Québec. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Marie-Berthe (late Wilfrid Allard), Yvette (late Onésime Jutras), Thérèse (late René Béliveau), Solange, Gilles (late Carmen) and Camille (Jeanne D’Arc Faucher of Timmins).
Antonio Faucher was ordained a Permanent Deacon for the Diocese of Timmins on May 07 1983. He was also a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. Antonio was a devout man and always ready to serve and give a helping hand. One could always count on his gentleness, respect, openness and on his words of wisdom and encouragement as he served on the Diocesan Project for the Family, in the Cursillo Movement, in baptism and marriage preparation, and when he visited the sick and the lonely.
He was a competent and efficient business man and was well-known in the forestry industry as a just and honest man. He was very knowledgeable in his field and over the years he demonstrated professional ethics and great passion to his children and to all with whom he interacted. Antonio was a man of action and walked the talk.
Our father, Antonio loved our mother and his children with all his heart and he gave the best of himself. Dad moved from the province of Québec to secure employment in Northern Ontario and also to provide us with the opportunity to acquire a bilingual education in French and English as part of his legacy. He was proud of his children, grand-children and great grand-children, and of their educational and professional accomplishments. Antonio was a good provider, a gentle spouse, a generous and authentic father who was a shining example of unconditional love.
In the twilight of his life, he lived at the Golden Manor where he exemplified humility and his sense of humour with the staff and residents. He would always say: ‘They take good care of me here...it`s just like paradise’. The members of the Faucher family will be forever grateful to the staff of the Golden Manor for the care and exceptional service they provided to our father.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Saint-Joseph Parish and internment will follow at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery.
Donations may be offered to Saint-Joseph Parish, Timmins, Ontario, in memory of Mr. Antonio Faucher, P.D.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 24th, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home.

Antonio Faucher fut ordonné diacre permanant pour le Diocèse de Timmins, le 7 mai 1983. Il était également Chevalier de Colomb du 4e degré. Antonio était un homme bien dévoué et toujours prêt à rendre service. Que ce soit dans le Projet diocésain de la Famille, dans le mouvement Cursillo ou dans les cours de préparation au mariage et au baptême ou encore comme ministre de communion auprès des personnes malades ou comme accompagnateur des personnes seules au Centre d’achat, les gens pouvaient toujours compter sur son écoute attentive, sa gentillesse, son respect, son accueil et ses paroles de sagesse et d’encouragements.
Un travaillant compétent et efficace, Antonio était bien connu dans l’industrie forestière de la région comme un homme juste et honnête. Il connaissait et aimait bien son métier dans le bois et au cours des ans, il a su transmettre son éthique professionnelle et sa grande passion à tous ses enfants ainsi qu’à son entourage. Antonio enseignait par son exemple.
Notre père, Antonio, nous a aimés et notre mère, de tout son cœur et il nous a donné le meilleur de lui-même. En déménageant de la belle province pour trouver de l’emploi dans le nord de l’Ontario, Antonio a voulu nous léguer en héritage une éducation dans les deux langues officielles. Il était fier de tous ses enfants, ses petits et arrière-petits-enfants et de leurs accomplissements éducationnels et professionnels. Antonio était un bon pourvoyeur, un époux tendre, un père généreux et authentique qui a brillé par son agir et ses paroles de foi et d’amour inconditionnelles.
En fin de vie, c’est au Manoir Doré, qu’il a laissé sa marque d’humilité et son grand sens d’humour qu’il partageait avec le personnel et les résidents. Il disait toujours : ‘On prend bien soin de moi ici – c’est comme le paradis’. Les membres de la famille Faucher seront toujours bien reconnaissants au personnel du Manoir Doré pour les soins et leur service d’entraide exceptionnel.
Les funérailles auront lieu à 10 h, jeudi le 25 août 2016 à la paroisse Saint-Joseph et l`inhumation suivra au Cimetière Mémorial de Timmins.
Les dons commémoratifs à la mémoire de M. Antonio Faucher, d.p., au soin de la Paroisse Saint-Joseph de Timmins seront très appréciés.
La famille recevra les invités, mercredi le 24 août 2016 de 14 h-16 h et de 19 h-21 h à la Maison funéraire Lessard-Stephens.
