Obituary for
Ted Zagrodnik
It is with tremendous sorrow and loss that we announce the passing of Ted Zagrodnik, who passed away on Wednesday August 31, 2011 from complications of the heart. He was born and raised in Timmins to Polish Immigrant parents Stanislaw and Katarzyna, and was the second child of three boys; Stanley (Gloria) of Singapore and Ziggy (Marion) of Timmins. As a young adult Ted was always looking for adventure, and then one adventurous night he spotted a young lady, Rose Lariviere, she had no idea what was about to hit her! They were married August 27, 1960 and settled in to raise a family, Kathy (Mario Spadafore), Kelly (Mike Biron) and Christine (Kevin Columbus). Grandchildren arrived and the family grew, Jamie, Jonathan, Brett, Casey, Taneigha and Zenin. Ted loved them all so dearly. They have many great memories of riding in his backhoe and seeing him relaxing in his chair, remote in hand. They will dearly miss his teddy bear hugs. Ted loved operating his backhoe, a good cup of coffee, lottery tickets and socializing with friends. Some of his favourite activities were watching the television, collecting caps, when he was up to it, a good polka dance and family times. Ted was known for his hard work, his sense of dedication and his love of family and friends. We will remember him for being a great father, grandfather and husband. Funeral service will be held on Thursday September 8, 2011 at 11 am at St. Anthony's Cathedral. The family will receive friends on Wednesday September 7 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home(705)268-4488
