Condolences

Condolence From: Dan Malinski, Barb Neelands
Condolence: Condolences to the Mascioli Family. As teenager remember her as the Mom of the house where there were great parties! She was always friendly, wanting to know how you were doing. Besides raising four great kids we have read thru her obit to also learn she was a big contributor to the Church and to Timmins overall. A life well lived!

Condolence: Mike, Greg, Christina, JoAnna, Sorryyo hear of the passing of your dearest mother. She will be in our thoughts and prayers. I have nothing but find memories of your mom greeting me from the kitchen as I walked into your house nearly every day for most of my childhood. She treated me like her fifth child and for that I am most greatful. She will remain in my fond memories.

Condolence: We hwirh ave so many fond memories of Bernie. They are filled her fun loving, and generous nature with many laughs The door was always open to us, to the rec room, cottage or house and she always welcomed us in. Even though she had a houseful of her own kids. It was the place to be. She was also a force to be reckoned with, a pillar of the community church and your family. She will be missed. RIP Bernie...together again with Robert. Our sincerest condolences to Greg, Christina, Michael and JoAnna Malboeuf and the entire Mascioli family.

Condolence: Dearest cousins Greg, Christina, Michael, Joanna, and families, Even though I know your mother’s quality of life was not great in the last few years, I still feel as bereft as a ten-year old child with the news of Zia Bernie’s death. She was one of the most loving, honest, hard-working, generous, fun-loving, creative people I have ever known. She always treated me just like a daughter and called me by the endearment “chick” my whole life. Her house was “the place to be”, and my mom could never sneak out to visit her without one of us pleading to come along! We seven cousins were virtually raised together so I do not have a Christmas or birthday memory that does not include Zia Bernie – and her gifts were so personal. As you well know, she was an extraordinary seamstress and we would receive beautiful bathrobes, stuffed animals, and exquisite clothing that she made with such love and expertise. She made my son the most perfect, unique Christmas stocking for his first holiday; a “forever gift” that he still (carefully) brings out every year. Zia eventually replaced all the ornaments on your family’s Christmas tree with her own beautiful designs. When I marveled at them one holiday, she said to me, “Just take any one you like, chick!” Zia had a very special way with young children, and they, in turn, would gravitate towards her like a magnet. If you were fortunate enough to stay over for a day, a week, or more, she spoiled you with popcorn, fudge, games, late movies, and every treat imaginable. When my own son was born at 12:01AM, Zia Bernie managed to cut through the rules of the hospital switchboard to call me at 5AM with tears of congratulations. She was my FIRST call!! Because she was so humble, I do not think people really know how much hard work and time Zia devoted to the church and church activities, organizations, committees, bazaars, carnivals, parent-school groups, and so many other areas of community service. You name it, Zia Bernie was working at it! Later in life, she made a serious commitment to weekly Bible study and I was always so impressed, when we spoke, about the depth of her knowledge. I am praying for and holding the four of you close in my heart as you grieve the passing of your wonderful mother. We were so blessed to experience the kind of innocent childhood that just does not exist anymore. Your mother played such a huge role in making those “wonder years” so blissful! Please call me anytime for anything! Mean it!
