Obituary for Gordon Edwin Lauay
The family announces with sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on May 27th, 2018, at the age of 70. He is Predeceased by his father and mother, John Vincent Lauay and Anna May Nora Lauay and sisters Lillian Lauay and Margaret (Lauay) Thibeault, brothers Andrew, Donald, Paul and Kenneth. He is survived by his wife Diane and son John, brothers Russell (Bessie) Lauay, Hugh (Pauline) Lauay and Raymond (Bonnie) Lauay, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He worked at several of the local mines, truck driver and farming. His collection of tools and woodworking equipment shows his love of mechanics and carpentry. Gordon loved hockey and collected many player cards over his lifetime. During his stay in hospital, he often expressed his appreciation for the care he received from the hospital staff and special friends. A celebration of life will be attended by family and close friends at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
