Steve will be missed and always remembered by his sister-in-law Zorica Muskovac (Nick, predeceased) of Timmins and their children Nancy Kreiner (former husband Matt) and children Samantha and Sarah of Barrie and Miko Muskovac (Chantal) and their son Jakob of Timmins. Sister-in-law Marica Jezerinac (Drago) and their children Ivana Ljubanovic (Kristijan) and their children Luka and Anna and Ivica Jezerinac (Natalija)and their son Vito. He was predeceased by his parents Pavao and Katica Zuzic, grandparents Pete and Kata Jelenic, his in-laws Drago and Jelica Muskovac, his cousin Mike Dobson and his brother-in-law and best friend Nick Muskovac. Steve came to Canada from Croatia in 1969. Never able to use his career as a tool and dye maker in Timmins, he began work at the McIntyre Mine and then at Kidd Creek Mines as a millwright for 32 years until his retirement. Steve was a kind man who was always ready to share a laugh with friends and family. He will be remembered as hard-working, loyal and trustworthy. His greatest passion was spending time with family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren Georgia and Spencer. The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Timmins and District Hospital that cared for Steve through the years, particularly the staff of the Dialysis Unit. They also extend their thanks to the staff of the Cardiac Medical Unit of Health Sciences North in Sudbury for their compassionate care this past week. The family will receive friends on Thursday May 31, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME.
Funeral service will be at St. Anthony’s Cathedral Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10:30 am. Interment at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Dante Club.
