It is with heavy hearts that the family announces her passing at the Golden Manor on Sunday May 6, 2018 at the age of 86.
Beloved wife of the late Valentinas Bernotas (1998).
Devoted mother of Peter Bernotas (Deborah Ann), late Edward Bernotas (Patricia), Jane Parisi (Dennis) and David Bernotas (Francine).
Cherished grandmother of Ashley Bernotas (Josh) and Devin Bernotas (Sam), Neil Bernotas (Jennifer), Matthew Bernotas, Thomas Parisi (Nicole) and Alison Parisi (Michael), Nina Gallino (Steve) and Amanda Bernotas (Jenna).
Loving great-grandmother of Gemma Gallino and Olivia Bernotas.
She is survived by her sisters Cathy Boulanger (late Hubert), Aline Boulanger (Gilles) and Martha Caron (Raymond); by her sisters-in-law Claudette Rousseau, Nancy Rousseau and Sofija Dronsatavicius. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings; Edouard Rousseau, Yolande Morreau (late Hervé), Jeannine Delarosbil (late Valmont), Gilles Rousseau and Réal Rousseau; her brothers-in-law Walter Bernotas (late Jane) and Albert Dronsatavicius.
Alma worked in the business office at St. Mary’s General Hospital. She loved to knit and sing and she especially loved to cook; she will always be remembered for her amazing lemon cake. Alma truly enjoyed camping and sitting by the camp fire with her family. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, the love for her family reflected in all the facets of her life.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at St. Joseph Parish at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at
