Condolence: Alice will always have a special place in my heart. I am very grateful for her patience with me as a student, especially with my atrocious sight reading. She was a wonderful person with a great sense of humour, and an excellent teacher, always encouraging and supportive. She inspired me to pursue my musical endeavours. Years later she still encouraged me to keep on with music and my career, always attentive and understanding. She was a true friend. Alice was always there for my mother during the hard times, and I know that my mom, Angela, cherished their special friendship. Deepest condolences to the family. We will all miss her.

Condolence: Alice was my piano teacher way back in the 60’s. I personally don’t think I ever had much talent but she always made me feel as if I did. I think that she must have been very exasperated with me as I rarely practiced my scales or did my finger exercises but went directly to practicing my favourite music pieces. Alice was my godmother. I have kept in touch with her over the years and we always had very pleasant coffee gab sessions together whenever I was visiting Timmins as well as many enjoyable phone conversations from my home in Edmonton. When my husband passed away in 2016, she provided me with a lot of understanding and moral support. She had a remarkable intelligence and a wonderful sense of humor. I will always remember her trademark laugh and I will miss her! My heartfelt condolences to the family.
