Obituary for Theodore Augustine Kader

It is with heavy hearts and sorrow that the Kader family announces the passing of a great husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. After a brief illness he passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Timmins and District Hospital at the young age of 79 years.
Dear husband of Florianne, father of Richard and his wife Lory, Gary and his wife Pearl, Barbara and her husband Gavin. Dearest grandparent of Alanna, Ryan and Jocelyn, Kyle and Jessica, and Garrett and Kyla. Dearest great-grandparent of Charlotte-Rose.
Ted (dad) was pre-deceased by his parents Louis and Emelia Kader and his siblings Augustine Kader and Emily Lawley.
Uncle Ted was a favourite and well respected uncle that always initiated smiles and cheer.
A very special thank you is extended to the doctors, nurses and support staff at the Timmins and District Hospital for their efforts and care provided to a great man.
Ted Kader was an avid and passionate outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and being in the great outdoors. Like all true sportsmen, he had his “secret” spots that he held close to his heart. His passion for partridge and deer hunting was outrageous and contagious. As a true sportsman all his life, he truly respected the outdoors believing in conservation and preservation. These strong values were extended to his family in many ways.
His leadership role as a father provided strong core values for his children and grand children. “Family” was the foundation that held a marriage together for 60 years. His dedicated work ethic facilitated his children to become successful in their work careers and exhibit respect towards employers. A keen and witty sense of humour was always displayed despite the theme of the event-sad or happy.
Dad enjoyed life the best way he knew how. He had a winning and competitive attitude that was always instilled in his family. His skill at card and game boards were second to none. In the end, Dad was a modest man with a big heart, he never quit at anything and hated losers. He always preached “that the Kaders perform best under pressure”. It was his tough willed attitude and appreciation of life that carried the family through good times and bad.
