Obituary for Tomo Perkovic

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on March 18, 2018 at the age of 85. Survived by his devoted wife of 62 years Vera (nee Stefanic), daughter Nada Anderchek (Stephen), granddaughters Karina Rice (Eryk) and Natasha Lefebvre; and by his pride and joy, great-grandson Beau Rice. Also survived by his sister Anka Grbavica; numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins here and in Croatia. Predeceased by his parents Mate and Manda, his brother Josa and his sister Mare. Tomo was born in Stajnica, Croatia and immigrated with his family to Canada in 1968. He worked at the Dome Mine until his early retirement in 1990. The family would like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Schwerfeger and to the staff at the Timmins and District Hospital – Hospice Unit for their excellent care. Thank you to Dr. Cohen and his staff for the many years of quality medical services. The family would also like to thank North-East LHINS for all of their assistance. The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 9 pm on Tuesday March 20, 2018 and at 9:30 am on Wednesday March 21, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:30 am in the Funeral Home Chapel.
