It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Lucienne Benoit née Bourcier on Wednesday November 22,2017 at the Timmins and District Hospital. Survived by her travel companion and loving husband of 66 years, Gabriel Benoit, her children, Paulette Gallant (Lauréat), Diane Lefebvre (Jeannot), Gary, Evelyn Benoit (Don). She was predeceased by her daughter, Carole (1971) and her grandson Marc Morais (1984). She also leaves her grandsons, Alain Morais (Sophie), Denis Morais (Jessica), Ryan Lefebvre (Deandra) and her granddaughter, Carrie Campsall (Bobby), her great granddaughters, Jaedin and Jovie Morais and great grandson, Parker Potvin. She is survived by her siblings, Laurette, Agnes, Lucille, Albert and Aurel (Carol). Also mourning her are her in-laws, Adèle Leduc, Gilberte Rheault, René and Adèle Coursol, Thérèse and Claude Picard. She will also be remembered by many beloved nephews, nieces and cousins whom she loved to keep in contact with. Lucienne is also predeceased by her brothers Adrien, Léo-Paul, Lucien, Gabriel and Noël.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Timmins and District Hospital for their care of our loved one during her visits to the hospital. A special thanks to Dr. Loreto and the personnel in the palliative unit for their compassion and understanding.
Funeral service will be held at Paroisse Saint-Dominique on Monday, November 27th, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home on Sunday, November 26th, from 2-4 and 7-9 at
