Obituary for Donald ""Boots"" MacDonald

Donald ""Boots"" MacDonald
MacDonald, Donald
1955 – 2017
Passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Thursday October 5, 2017 at the age of 62.
Cherished brother and best friend to Freddy MacDonald of Schumacher and Joey MacDonald (Fay) of Timmins. He is survived by his special nieces Shannon (Tyler) Ketchabaw of South Porcupine and Tiffany (Dino) Varas of Georgetown, by his nephews who always looked to Donny for guidance, Ryan (Mia) of Fort McMurray, Darryl (Jennifer) of Timmins and Terry of Fort McMurray. He is also survived by 5 great-nephews, 3 great-nieces and by his sister-in-law Louise Bertrand. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Gertrude MacDonald and by one brother Phil MacDonald. A special thank you to Donald’s life long friend, Johnny Stansa and his wife Rita for their support during this difficult time. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Team for their compassion and care in the last month and a half. At this time, the family would also like to thank the “Schumacher Boys” for holding their 37th reunion here in Schumacher, allowing them to spend time with their buddy Donny “Boots” MacDonald. Friendship like yours is undeniably a bond that can never be broken, even in death. Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service has been held.
