Obituary for John P. Stosur
The family announces with sorrow his unexpected passing on Saturday July 29, 2017, at the age of 76.
Beloved husband of Rollanda “Cookie” Stosur (nee Moreau).
He is survived by his son John W. Stosur of South Porcupine, David Brazeau (Cindy) of Timmins, Mark Brazeau of Timmins and Tammy Brazeau of Etobicoke.
Also survived by his 5 grandchildren Bruce Thorne Jr. (Cassandra), Noah Brazeau (papa’s favorite grandson), Aaron, Leah and Kaleigh Brazeau; 2 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and many nieces and nephews.
John will be sadly missed by his good friend Giuliano Pizzale and his sparring partner Peter Steinbrunner.
Predeceased by his parents Maria and Woychek Stosur.
John worked for Ontario Hydro for 35 years as a linesman and construction. He was an avid traveler, loved the outdoors and gardening.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Cote, the TDH staff and Sue McGaghran.
A celebration of John’s life will be held on Wednesday August 9, 2017 from 12 pm (noon) – 3 pm at the Lessard-Stephens Reception Centre.
Donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation will be greatly appreciated.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lessard-Stephen Funeral Home
