Obituary for Helen Potvin
The family announces with great sorrow her death on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at the Golden Manor at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by her husband Vital Potvin, her companion of over 10 years Raymond Lapalme, her daughters Doreen Joy, Carol Fortier and Diana Smith and by her son Gary Potvin. She is survived by her children Jackie Potvin (Royale Richer), Darlene Holmes (Barry), Eleanor Shawcross, Linda Lemaire, Georges Potvin (Lorraine) and Larry Potvin (Bonnie), her sons-in-law Michael Fortier and Russell Smith; 22 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by all of her siblings of the Zolob family. The family would like to thank the staff at the Golden Manor, especially the staff on East 2 for their care and compassion. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday May 30, 2017 in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Lessard-Stephens Reception Centre. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7-9 pm at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Remembrance donations to the LiddyBug Fund would be greatly appreciated. (please make cheque payable to Tyler Allard).
