Passed away peacefully at Kensington Gardens Long-term Care Home in Toronto, on Wednesday May 10, 2017 at the age of 96. Predeceased by her husband Albert Lemieux (2003) and her children Paul Lemieux (1962) and Denise Luke (2001); loving mother of Claire Lemieux-Lamarche (Robert) of Thornhill; cherished grandmother of Catherine Lapalme (Marc) of Timmins and mother-in-law of Bill Luke of Timmins; loving great-grandmother of Celestina and Adrien; dear sister of Simone Bazinet of Timmins, Ubald Bazinet of Montréal, QC, Edna Bazinet of Oka, QC, Robert Bazinet (Ellen) of Ottawa and Marguerite Bazinet (Percy) of Kingston. Predeceased by her parents Ubald and Justine Lemieux, by her sister Pauline Gammon (1963), brother Roland Bazinet (1987), Omer Bazinet (1996), Aurèle Bazinet (1999), Irene Guilliano (2005) and Evelyne Desmarais (2014). The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Cedarhurst Dementia Care Home and Kensington Gardens Long-term Care Home where Yvonne resided in her final years. Their level of care and compassion was second to none. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Monday May 15, 2017 at St. Anthony's Cathedral. Interment will follow at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday May 14, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home. Remembrance donations to the Timmins & District Hospital Foundation or the Timmins & District Humane Society will be greatly appreciated.

La famille tient à remercier Cedarhurst Dementia Care Home et Kensington Gardens Long-term Care Home pour leurs excellents soins d’Yvonne durant ses dernières années. La messe des funérailles aura lieu à 10h le lundi 15 mai 2017, à la Cathédrale St-Antoine. L’inhumation suivra au Cimetière Mémorial de Timmins. La famille recevra parents et amis le dimanche 14 mai de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h à la Maison funéraire Lessard-Stephens. Les dons faits à la Fondation de l’Hôpital de Timmins et du district ou au Timmins & District Humane Society seront grandement appréciés.
