The family announces with great sadness his passing on Wednesday February 22, 2017, at the age of 38, surrounded by his family at home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Beloved husband of Robyn Pelchat (nee Cumming).
Cherished father of Léa, Liam and Samuel.
Loving son of Guy Pelchat (Linda) and Joanne Cloutier;
Dear brother Kayla Pelchat and Tyler Sawinski.
Dear grandson Rosanne Pelchat and Mae Cloutier.
He is survived by his in-laws Robert et Carol-Ann Cumming, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Pierre and Carrie-Ann Michaud (their children Ema et MacKenzie).
Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his grandfather Marcel « Blackie » Cloutier and his aunt Suzanne Cloutier. The family would like to thank his Sudbury physician Dr. Pedro Lopez, Dr. Larry Malo of Timmins, Marnie Chisholm of Timmins and the nursing staff on the Oncology Department at the Timmins and District Hospital.
Marcel worked as a Corporate Relations Officer for Ontario Power Generation. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Sunday February 26, 2017 in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday February 25 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home. Donations made to the Pet scanner (Health Sciences North) or to the Oncology Department (Timmins and District Hospital) will be greatly appreciated.

La famille annonce avec grande tristesse son décès le mercredi 22 février 2017, entouré de sa famille à son domicile, suivant une lutte courageuse contre le cancer, à l’âge de 38 ans.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Robyn Pelchat (née Cumming), ses enfants Léa, Liam et Samuel;
ses parents Guy Pelchat (Linda) et Joanne Cloutier;
sa soeur Kayla Pelchat et son frère Tyler Sawinski.
Cher petit-fils de Rosanne Pelchat et Mae Cloutier.
Il est survécu par ses beaux-parents Robert et Carol-Ann Cumming,
son beau-frère et sa belle-soeur Pierre et Carrie-Ann Michaud (et leurs enfants Ema et MacKenzie).
Il est aussi survécu par ses tantes et ses oncles, ses cousins et ses cousines et par plusieurs amis.
Il fut prédécédé par son grand-père Marcel « Blackie » Cloutier et sa tante Suzanne Cloutier.
La famille aimerait remercier le médecin de Sudbury, Dr. Pedro Lopez, Dr. Larry Malo de Timmins, Marnie Chisholm de Timmins et les infirmières du département d’Oncologie à l’Hôpital de Timmins et du district.
Marcel travaillait comme agent responsable des relations avec les entreprises pour Ontario Power Generation.
Un service commémoratif aura lieu à 11h le dimanche 26 février 2017 à la chapelle de la maison funéraire.
La famille recevra les amis le samedi 25 février de 14h - 16h et de 19h - 21h à la
Maison funéraire Lessard-Stephens. Les dons commémoratifs envers le Pet scanner (hôpital régional de Sudbury) ou le département d’Oncologie à l’hôpital de Timmins et du district seront grandement apprécies.
