Condolence: Our Uncle Michael's memory will be forever cherished.
The family was deeply touched by the outpouring of heartfelt wishes from friends and family. Uncle Mike's funeral was held at St. Mary's Romanian Orthodox Church where Michael was a lifelong parishioner. The service was delivered by the Bishop Cassian-the honourable Romanian Orthodox Bishop of Canada- as well as Father Peter Busuioc. It was a beautiful service and we felt Uncle Mike's life was celebrated and respected. Memory eternal Uncle Mike. We will miss your wisdom and your sparkle. We extend our sincere gratitude to those who took the time to offer their sympathy and share a memory of Michael's unique perspective on life.

Condolence: I didn't know Mike all that long but we became friends.
He related a story to me once about when he was a boy or a young man, and I think it was his father, who had asked him what he wanted when he was older- and Mike had replied that it wasn't fame or fortune; but rather wisdom " for his people " that he wanted. Wisdom that he could have for them. He was like a prince waiting to become a king. Every once in awhile we meet someone who leaves us a little bit better of a person. Thanks Mike- thanks ever so much. Sympathies to all the family. Michael will be remembered with great fondness.
