Obituary for Alexandra Feasey (Cousineau)

Alexandra Feasey (Cousineau)
It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of 98 year old Alexandra Feasey at the Timmins and District Hospital on February 10, 2017.
She was predeceased by her husband Alfred Richard (1993); her beloved son Sydney Charles (2012); her parents Charlemagne and Delima Cousineau; her brothers Horace, Eugene, Frank, Eddy, Laurent, Jean-Paul, Leonard and her sisters Alexandrine (her twin), Gracia, Gabrielle and Jeanne.
She leaves in mourning her daughter Amy; her grandchildren Michael (Heidi), Lynn, Scott and great-grandchild Benjamin, nieces, nephews and very kind friends.
She was born in Verner, Ontario to a large, happy French family. She later became a practical nurse (maternity) at St-Justin’s Hospital in Montreal and at St-Joseph’s Hospital in Sudbury. In 1941, she became a permanent resident of Timmins. Patients of the late Dr. A. Bergeron will remember her compassionate and humorous nature.
She was a member of La Fédération des Femmes Chrétiennes and the TDH ladies Auxiliary.
As an inveterate cottager, she had a passion for blueberry-picking and cultivating beautiful yearly gardens. Her knitting and baking for friends and family were legendary.
Above all, she was a petite, proud, gregarious, generous woman of integrity, courage, sparkling energy and inimitable wit.
It was her nature to face lifes’ woofs and warps with a warrior-like spirit like a northern wind passing you by…
We will not be blessed with her likes again.
The family is grateful for the excellent care of Dr. Armstrong and Dr. DiTullio, the kind nurses on Surgical and the CCAC.
A memorial mass and celebration of her life for friends and family will be held at St-Anthony's Cathedral on Tuesday May 16, 2017 at 1:30 pm. The family will receive friends at St-Anthony's Cathedral from 1-1:30 pm.
A reception will follow in the parish hall.
As expressions of sympathy, please consider donations to the TDH Palliative care Division, Spruce Hill Lodge or the Charity of your choice.
