Obituary for Bessie Edwards
The family announces with sorrow her death on Wednesday November 23, 2016 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 78.
Bessie is survived by her son Derek Edwards (Dawn Lefurgey) and her daughter Susan Edwards (John Kosta), her grandchildren Sam and Luke Edwards, her brother Ian (Barbara) Clegg, her sister-in-law Lois Clegg, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Bertram and Gwendoline Clegg, as well her brothers Noel and Robin. She was born on December 7, 1937 in Swallownest, Yorkshire, England and moved to Canada in 1955, where she worked as a medical secretary in Chapleau, Ontario for some time. Bessie’s big loves were her grandchildren and animals. A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 26, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME.
Remembrance donations to the Timmins & District Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
