Obituary for Eric Charles Peterson

Eric Charles Peterson
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Eric Charles Peterson on Sunday November 20, 2016 at the age of 76.
Eric leaves behind his family, former colleagues and friends; his brother Barry and sister-in-law Caroline of Wasaga Beach, step-son Terence and granddaughter Katherine of Barrie, step-granddaughter Tiffany, her partner Darryl and great grandchildren Lincoln and Brittany of Timmins, nephew Greg and great nephew Darius of Oshawa, niece Tanya, her husband Amir and great niece Farzaneh and great nephew Daniel of Kitchener.
Eric was predeceased by his parents Eugenie Mae and Eric Emanuel, his beloved Margaret and great grandson Skylar.
After high school Eric entered the field accountancy attaining his Chartered Account (CA) designation with Ross, Pope and Company. He later became Chief Accountant and retired as Treasurer of the City of Timmins.
Eric also had an affinity for service serving as a reservist with the Algonquin Regiment of Canada where he made many life-long friends.
Eric committed his life to Our Lord and Saviour as a member of the congregation of St. Matthews Anglican Cathedral of Timmins.
He was a wonderful and loving soul whose kindness and generosity of spirit will be greatly missed by those who knew him, people and pets alike. The world is certainly lessened by his passing.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers you honour his memory with a remembrance donation to the Timmins High & Vocational School Alumni Association where a scholarship will be established in his name.
Visitation Monday November 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the
