Obituary for Laurene Ducharme

Passed away at Timmins and District Hospital on Saturday October 22, 2016 at the age of 73 years. Survived by my common-law partner Rolly Couture; my son Rick Ducharme (Leanne Brusatore) of Cultus Lake, B.C.; my sisters Verna Peterman (Late Jack-2016) of North Bay and Millie Spears of Timmins; my nephews Jim Peterman of Kitchener and Randy Peterman (Cindy Lang) of Waterloo; my niece Patti-Jo Watson (Neil) of Fort McMurray. Predeceased by my parents Elmo Spears (1960) and Mary Spears Pigeon (2001). Rolly and I owned and operated the Pine Ridge Motel for 20 years. There were hard times, demanding but everyday another learning experiences. When we retired eight years ago we adopted a small dog. This led us to become members of St. John Ambulance Dog Therapy Program. We were both happy when it was time to visit the Senior Centers. Between Rolly and Millie, they worked tirelessly to provide me with everything anyone could want. My relatives here in Timmins has been a very strong support group as well as the Couture families from Hearst. I hope, I handled the cancer with grace and courage. Timmins and District Hospital became my summer retreat where the nursing staff and doctors took care of me. Thank you everyone. As per my request, there will be No Visitation or Service. Cremation has taken place. The family will hold a celebration of my life on Sunday October 30, 2016 between 2pm to 4pm at the
LESSARD-STEPHENS RECEPTION CENTRE.

Please bring your happy face and good memories. Laurene
