Obituary for Yvette Fauvelle (Hamelin)
It is with heavy hearts but with great relief that we announce the passing of MOM...Yvette Fauvelle. Her long and courageous battle ended peacefully with her family by her side, on Saturday, October 15th, 2016 at the age of 74. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, the love of her life and husband of 53 years Armand, her children Daniel, André (Sharlene), Ginette Patrick (Kurt) and Paul (Debbie) as well as her six precious grandchildren, Catherine and Stéphanie Fauvelle, Vanessa and Erika Patrick, and Félix and Alexia Fauvelle. Yvette was predeceased by her parents, Conrad and Evelyne Hamelin, her sister, Catherine as well as her in-laws Arthur and Lucie Fauvelle. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Anita Anderson and Lorraine Ammar (late John) her brothers René (Jamie), Paul (Marie), Gaston (Huguette), Maurice (Faye) and Yvon (Carol) as well as her second family the Fauvelles, Michel (Colleen), Carmen Périgny (Robert), Pauline Chartrand (late Darral) and Pierre (Linda). She will fondly be remembered by he numerous nieces and nephews and her cherished friends. “Ivettes” as we lovingly called her was a kind soul, hard worker and loved by all who knew her. She was a fun loving gal taking pleasure in card games, poker, scrabble, travel, social events and family time. Being a great wife and Mom, her family was the main focus of her life. No words can express how much she will be missed. Special thanks go out to all the staff on the medical floor of the Timmins and District Hospital for their patience, compassion and kindness. You helped make this journey just a little bit easier for us. To all of you who helped us care for Mom during these last few weeks....hugs and kisses. We could not have made it without you. Funeral service will be held on Thursday October 20, 2016 at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends on Wednesday October 19, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
