Né à Timmins le 5 novembre 1933, Aurèle est décédé paisiblement entouré de sa famille le jeudi 12 mai 2016 à l’hôpital de Timmins et du district à l’âge de 82 ans. Cher époux de Laurette (née Bégin); père bien-aimé de Marc de Chelmsford, Guy (Monique Rocheleau) de North Bay, Pierre (Jocelyne) et Jacques (Hélène) de Timmins; grand-papa adoré à Martine (Stéphane) d’Aylmer, Pascal (Alexine) de Kemptville et d’André, Roxanne et Sophie de Timmins; arrière-grand-papa à Chanel et Mia. Il est survécu par sa sœur, Jeanne Gervais de Timmins, son beau-frère Gérard Bégin (Cécile) de Kelowna, Colombie-Britannique et de ses belles-sœurs Mona Comeau (Claude) de Hearst, de Claudette Bégin de Hearst et de Claudette Guy de Sudbury. Il était en plus l’oncle bien-aimé de plusieurs neveux et nièces. Prédécédé par ses parents, Télesphore et Amanda, ses beaux-parents, Georges et Adèle Bégin, ses frères, Réal (Pat) et Théodore (Francis), sa sœur Lucienne Kelly (Bert), ses beaux-frères Lévis Gervais, Maurice Bégin (Thérèse) et Conrad Bégin, son petit-fils Sylvain et sa bru Marie-Louise. Aurèle a profité pleinement de la vie et a contribué activement à la communauté en étant un des membres fondateurs du Centre Culturel La Ronde duquel il avait été président pour plusieurs années. La famille accueillera parents et amis le dimanche 15 mai de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h à la Maison funéraire LESSARD-STEPHENS. La messe des funérailles aura lieu le lundi 16 mai 2016 à 10h à l’église St-Joseph. L’inhumation suivra au cimetière Mémorial de Timmins. Les dons commémoratifs dirigés à la Fondation de l’hôpital de Timmins et du district ou à la Paroisse St-Joseph seront grandement appréciés.


Born in Timmins on November 5, 1933, Aurèle passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Timmins and District Hospital on Thursday May 12, 2016 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Laurette (née Bégin). Devoted father of Marc of Chelmsford, Guy (Monique Rocheleau) of North Bay, Pierre (Jocelyne) and Jacques (Hélène) all of Timmins. Loving grandfather of Martine (Stéphane) d’Aylmer, Pascal (Alexine) of Kemptville, André, Roxanne and Sophie of Timmins; great-grandfather of Chanel and Mia. Survived by his sister Jeanne Gervais of Timmins, by his brother-in-law Gérard Bégin (Cécile) of Kelowna B.C. and by his sisters-in-law Mona Comeau (Claude), Claudette Bégin all of Hearst and Claudette Guy of Sudbury. Adored uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Télesphore and Amanda, his in-laws Georges and Adèle Bégin, his brothers Réal (Pat) and Théodore (Francis), his sister Lucienne Kelly (Bert), his brothers in-law Lévis Gervais, Maurice Bégin (Thérèse) and Conrad Bégin, his grandson Sylvain and by his daughter-in-law Marie-Louise. Aurèle loved life to the fullest and devoted his time to his community by being a member and one of the founders of the Centre Culturel Laronde, of which he was the president for many years. The family will receive friends on Sunday May 15th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at
LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at St-Joseph Church on Monday May 16th at 10 am. Interment will follow at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations made to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation or to St-Joseph Parish would be greatly appreciated.
