Obituary for Marguerite Duthie
It is with heavy hearts that we announce her passing at the Golden Manor on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Clarke and predeceased son Terry (Dorothy Burley) and grandson Brent. Beloved mother of sons John (late Brenda), Danny (late Claire) (Lise), daughters Debra Dagenais (Robert), Benjie (Barb Len), Kim Cox (Larry), and special son Johnny McFarlane (Christine Heavens). Cherished grandmother of Scott (Sasha), Gregg (Chantel), Michelle (Randy), Jason (Chantelle), Benjamin (Kim), Shawn (Sandra), Tanya, Nigel (Christine), Steven (Amy), Samantha (Pierre) and 18 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Basil and Mary McWhirter, her brothers Sheldon, Jack, Ken, Ian, George, and sister Mary. Survived by brother Doug. Marg lived her life for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will forever live on in our hearts. A special thank you to Heather and Alison at the Timmins and District Hospital for their exceptional care of mom and thank you to all the staff at the Golden Manor. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 14, 2016 at 11am in the chapel of LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME.
Interment of ashes will follow at Tisdale Cemetery. Remembrance donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Parkinson Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
