Obituary for Darlene Thomson
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces her passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Monday March 7, 2016 at the age of 60. Beloved wife of Jim Thomson. Dear sister of Pat Labelle (Dave Frantsi). Survived by her father-in-law Denis Girard, her sisters-in-law Ronda Thomson (Wendy Collins) and Sandra Thomson and her brother-in-law Marc Labelle (Wanda Renaud). Also survived by her nephews Micheal Labelle, Bradley Thomson, Ronald Thomson and Jeffrey Thomson (Emily Amos) and her great-niece Rayah-Rose Weber-Thomson. Predeceased by her parents Mauno and Aune Lahti, her brother John Hovila, her grand-parents Ida and Jussi Hemming and her mother-in-law Helen Girard. She will also be missed by all family, friends and the peers in her art community.
A memorial service will be held at 12 pm (noon) on Friday March 11 in the Funeral Home chapel. A reception will follow in the Lessard-Stephens Reception Centre. The family will receive friends on Friday March 11 from 10 am to 12 pm at LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Remembrance donations made to the Cochrane Timiskaming United Way, in-trust for “Our Place” would be appreciated.
