Obituary for Dennis Harris
The family announces with sorrow his death on Monday February 15, 2016 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 82 years. He was predeceased by his wife Claudette Harris in 2015. He is survived by his daughter Lynn Loreto (Eric), his granddaughter Kaelyn all of Fresno, California; his sister Gloria Bernier (Normand); his in-laws Lilian Farrell (late Harold), Idasse Lajeunesse (Annette), Roland Lajeunesse (Micheline), Normand Lajeunesse, Marc Lajeunesse and Denis Lajeunesse (Lynda) and by numerous nieces and nephews. Dennis started with the Timmins Police in 1957. During his career, he served as a Staff Sergeant, then as an Inspector and then became Chief of Police in 1986 until his retirement in 1993. He and his wife Claudette spent numerous winters in Florida. The family wish to thank the doctors and nurses at Timmins and District Hospital fro their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation or to the Timmins Police Pipes and Drums would be greatly appreciated. Funeral and cremation services have been entrusted with LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME.
