Frances Zobetz
In loving memory of Frances Zobetz who passed away at Extendicare Timmins on Saturday November 7, 2015 at the age of 101 years. Wife of the late Frank Zobetz predeceased in 1990. Daughter of the late Joze and Amailija Lunder. Loving mother of Lillian Dobson of Timmins and Edward (Georgina) Zobetz of Sudbury; cherished grandmother of David and Cheryl both of Timmins; dear sister of Mary Golias of Slovenia (Hinko predeceased) and Neska Bilyk of Toronto (Mike predeceased). Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Frank (Milka), Anika Mate (Janez), Janez (Tonika), Amilija Prijatel (Frank) formerly of South Porcupine, Tina Debeljak (Frank), Albina Prijatel (Stefan), Stefan (Mary), Joze (Mary) and Vera Grebenc (Joze). Cherished aunt of Christine Curran (Paul predeceased) of Vancouver, Frank Priatel (Belinda) of Australia, Ed Priatel (Claudette) both predeceased, Bobby Bilyk (Beth) from Minnesota, Marie Lisik (Myron) of Burlington, Brian Bilyk (Lesia) of Toronto, Michael (Darinka) of Toronto as well as many other nieces and nephews from Slovenia and Australia. She is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews in Canada, Slovenia, Austalia, Britain, Germany and the U.S.A. Along with her husband Frank; she owned and operated the Broadway Bowling Lanes in Timmins. She will be remembered for her love of bowling, cooking, gardening, needle point, sewing and her volunteerism with the Timmins and District Hospital as well as the C.W.L. She will always be lovingly remembered as a great mom, a kind and generous hard working woman and a loving and caring grandmother. The family would like to say thanks for the loving care provided by Marie, Randy, Maureen, Dr. Vaitlingam and Dr. S. DiTullio as well as all the staff at Extendicare Timmins for their care and loving kindness. The family would also like to thank Horizon-Timmins Palliative Care. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday November 10, 2015 at St-Anthony’s Cathedral. Interment will follow at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation, the Extendicare Timmins, St-Anthony of Padua Cathedral or to the Horizon-Timmins Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated.
