Obituary for Gaëtan Verreault

Gaëtan Verreault
It is with deep, and heavy sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gaëtan Verreault on the morning of March 11th, 2015 at the age of 78 years. Although born in St.Félicien Que., he lived in Timmins for the majority of his life. Gaëtan was active with the Richelieu Club and enjoyed recreational activities such as golf, hockey, and walking. He took tremendous pleasure in social activities in the Timmins community-not only to support local causes but also for his love of good food, dancing and having a great time. Gaëtan was predeceased by his first wife Suzanne Verreault (née Côté) in 2005. He is survived by his second wife, Nanette Verreault (née Beaulieu) and her son Marc Major. Loving father to Stéphane (Ginette), Mark (Nancy), Michel (Manon), and Mélanie (Dan Guiho). Proud grandfather to Nathalie, Présilla, Matthieu, Jacob, Alexa, Mélina and Tristan. Beloved brother to Late Georgette, Late Oswald, Rhéal, Bertrand, Late Normande, Late Claude, Florent, Germaine, Guerthy, Lise and Alain. He was also predeceased by his parents Alfred and Valérie Verreault. Gaëtan will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving parent, husband, distinguished local entrepreneur, notable golfer, fan of people of all ages, and a man impeccable with his words and guidance. A special thank you to all the staff at Timmins and District Hospital for their care and support. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday March 16, 2015 at St. Anthony's Cathedral. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
